ABOUT:
Photizo (pho-tid-zo) is a Greek word meaning to illuminate, enlighten, shine, or bring to light. It signifies both physical lighting and, metaphorically, spiritual enlightenment, instructing, or giving understanding. It is often used to describe bringing something to light, making it evident, or imparting knowledge.
I hide behind this nickname and try to honour it in my photography which is always seeking to establish a certain truth, about the world or myself. Photography is a tool used to express my creativity in the freest way possible. I walk around long hours, waiting for a scene, a gesture, a light or an emotion that resonates with my innerworld. Sometimes this results in an image I consider good enough to be shared.
I try to give life to my images by regularly publishing zines, resulting from my current experimentations and thematic or visual fixations. You can find those zines in my shop.
I collect photobooks, and often discuss photographers whose work I enjoy on my blog and youtube channel among other photography related topics.
